Being As An Ocean

Being As An Ocean

We shout up on the sky

Until our mouths are dry and bloody

Screaming out in a god that is apparently blind

For the suffering individuals here below; those pushed aside

Check around and witness the body weight of this darkness

I could guarantee you that ignorance is not really bliss

And merely because we've adorned our eyes by using these arrogance

Does not mean the unspeakable will cease

Wicked men hoarding necessities

While their fellow men die of disease and sickness

Our youngsters are still starving

Doubled over in pain through the grumbling

Dying loved ones whither and fade

The individual we knew stripped away

Metal

(All we like will fade

All we like is stripped away)

Men killing their dearest within a fit of rage

Rather than putting the past behind, turning a new page

Mothers drown their baby's within their sleep

Being a reprieve cause they don't know the next time they'll eat

We still defile and abuse the innocent

Like items to be sold or owned

Slavery and prostitution is no location for a nine year-old

So rage, cry out at the angry sky

Enable the emotion fall from your eyes

I let you know the reality

YHWH rages with you

He hears your frantic pleas

Believe me when i state, "He is not some distant thing! "

You might just hear Him breath if you're quiet for awhilee

He's stood in the bedside from the lowly

Shoulders heaving, His head in His hands

Grieving with a Father's heart, arrived at retrieve another wayward lamb

It's up to us to carry each others' dignity

Metal

Recognize we've chosen the wrong enemy

Hate, ignorance, and inhumanity are whatever we should be battling

Now's enough time for knowledge

Now's enough time for Truth

Humanity has already suffered a lot abuse

We must be responsible, and get rid of apathy

Unlearn society's teachings

To be blind and selfish

Because whatever you must learn

Would be that the problem is us
